Sageo Estudio is a Search Intelligence practice: we research, measure and
optimize how a brand is found, interpreted, recommended and cited by traditional search
engines, answer engines, generative systems such as ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity, and
AI-driven search experiences.

01
How your brand appears in traditional search results
02
How the systems that build automatic answers interpret it
03
When and why they recommend you over other options
04
Which sources cite you and how consistently they sustain that mention
The cycle
Research, measure, interpret, intervene
Search Intelligence does not start by executing tasks: it starts by understanding what is
happening. Every intervention rests on a previous measurement and closes with a new one.
Without that comparison, any decision is a bet.
01
Research
How the brand appears and is interpreted today, in search engines and in AI systems.
02
Measure
How visible it is to users, search engines and generative systems, with comparable data.
03
Interpret
Which factors explain its presence or its absence, and which ones are truly actionable.
04
Intervene
Content, entities, architecture, authority and technical signals that sustain visibility.
05
Measure again
Compare the evolution, verify the hypothesis and detect new opportunities.
The cycle repeats on every iteration
The three layers
Three acronyms. One single strategy.
SEO, AEO and GEO are not three loose services: they are three layers of the same visibility
problem. Worked on separately they compete with each other; worked on the same methodology
they reinforce each other.
01
SEO
Search Engine Optimization
The foundation: that search engines can crawl, understand and index the site, and that the
content answers the searches that carry real intent.
Technical health and performance
Information architecture and content
Local and brand search
02
AEO
Answer Engine Optimization
Optimizing for answer engines: featured snippets, answer panels and assistants that reply
without the user ever reaching the site.
Content structured as questions and answers
Structured data and semantic markup
Tracking of citations in assistants
03
GEO
Generative Engine Optimization
The most recent layer: that generative systems understand the brand entity and retrieve
it, mention it and cite it when building a recommendation.
First we measure, then we decide, then we execute, and only then do we scale. No promises
of guaranteed rankings: every stage delivers evidence from the previous one.
01 / 04
Diagnosis
A technical, content and entity x-ray. We review how the brand appears in search
engines, what AI systems say when they are asked about your category and which sources
support those answers. We deliver priorities, not an eighty-page document.
02 / 04
Strategy
We define the demand map: what your customer searches for, how they phrase it to an
assistant and what content should exist to answer each case. Every line is prioritized
by impact and effort, with explicit assumptions.
03 / 04
Execution
We fix what is technical, we produce or restructure content and we reinforce the brand
entity in the sources that search engines and generative systems use to decide whom to
mention.
04 / 04
Measurement and scale
A report with rankings, traffic, conversions and presence in AI answers, compared
against the baseline. What works is scaled; what does not, is cut. The strategy is
reviewed every month.
What we measure
Indicators we analyze
No single indicator explains visibility. We read them together, because a brand can rank
well and still not be mentioned when someone asks for a recommendation.
Organic visibility
Which queries show you, in which positions and with what share of clicks compared with the competition.
Presence in AI answers
In what proportion of the generated answers about your category you appear mentioned or cited.
Query coverage
How many of the relevant questions in your market have an answer of your own, kept up to date.
Entity consistency
Whether the name, the description, the location and the attributes of the brand say the same thing across all sources.
Citations and mentions
Which external sources name you, in what context and how much authority they add to your entity.
Competitor movement
How your category moves: who gains ground, with what content and in which type of answer.
Conceptual indicators. This section describes what we analyze and how we
interpret it. We do not publish client results yet: when there are authorized cases, they
will be published with period, scope and data source in
Research.
Who is behind it
Julio Acosta
Founder and researcher at Sageo Estudio
Julio Acosta is the founder and researcher behind Sageo Estudio, specialized in SEO, GEO, AEO and
new forms of visibility in search engines and artificial intelligence systems.
Sageo Estudio is the methodology; Julio is the one who researches it, develops it and leads it. Every
project goes through his reading before it becomes a work plan, and the criteria
behind each decision are documented.
It is the work of researching, measuring and interpreting how a brand is found,
understood, recommended and cited in today's search ecosystem: traditional search
engines, answer engines and generative systems.
The difference from executing SEO is the order. First we measure and interpret what
is happening; then we decide what to intervene in. Without that previous reading,
actions are chosen by intuition or by habit.
SEO works on the relationship between a site and traditional
search engines: crawling, indexing, relevance and authority.
AEO works on the format of the answers: content and markup
designed so that an answer engine can extract and show a direct reply.
GEO works on the presence of the brand inside generative
systems, where the answer is built by combining multiple sources. There, ranking is
not enough: what matters is whether the brand is recognized as an entity and whether
it appears in the material that the system retrieves.
All three rest on the same technical foundation, but they are measured in different
ways and require different signals.
Generative systems do not work with a single and stable ranking: they combine
retrieval of sources, authority signals and entity coherence to build an answer.
That is why no lever guarantees appearing.
What can be worked on is probability: that the brand is described consistently,
that clear content about its services exists, that it is mentioned by sources that
those systems tend to retrieve and that its structured information is readable by
machines.
Organic visibility, presence in AI answers, query coverage, entity consistency,
citations and mentions, and competitor movement. We also review the technical
foundation, because no content performs on a structure that cannot be crawled or
interpreted.
It depends on the starting point, on the competition and on the type of change. As
a general reference for the industry, measurable movements usually start to be
observed between two and three months, and consolidate between six and twelve.
Technical changes show up before authority ones.
Any timeline promised without measuring the starting point is an assumption, not a
plan.
No. It includes it and extends it. A site with indexing or performance problems is
unlikely to be retrieved and cited by a generative system, because the sources that
those systems consult also depend on technical and content signals.
What changes is the measurement: beyond rankings and traffic, presence in answers,
mentions and entity consistency are observed.
A set of queries representative of the market is built and we observe how often the
brand appears mentioned or cited when they are asked in different systems, compared
with its direct competitors.
It is a sampling measurement: the answers vary depending on the system, the
location, the language and the moment of the query. That is why it is reported as a
proportion and a trend, not as an absolute value.
The starting point. An agency usually comes in through the execution of tasks; SAGEO
comes in through research: what signals exist today, how they are interpreted and what
explains the presence or the absence of the brand.
That makes the work slower at the beginning and more stable afterwards, because
every decision is backed by a previous measurement and a later verification.
